Canon's Birthday Weekend

We celebrated all weekend for Canon's birthday and had a party for him a week later.

On the weekend of his birthday we headed to the pumpkin patch event Jess put on for our church. He picked a pumpkin, bounced in the bouncy houses, played carnival rides, and ate popcorn. He had a blast! As we were getting ready to leave my sister, brother in law, and niece joined us and we all headed back to the house where the kids played until Jess got home from the church event. We then headed out for pizza. After pizza we headed back to the house for cake and presents. We skyped with my parents during the festivities. My parents weren't able to come, but my mom got sick with pneumonia. :(
Canon was so excited about eating his birthday cake. He had been talking about it for days. Too bad the cake wasn't fancy, but it sure did taste good. This was the first year Canon actually knew what was going on and was super excited it was his birthday. Canon and Emma had a grand time playing with his new toys.

We are all about Toy Story these days. He even got a Woody (from my parents), Bullseye (from us), and Buzz (from Jess's parents) for his birthday. What a lucky little boy!

On Sunday, his actual birthday, we headed out for lunch after church. Canon and I weren't feeling too well (both had colds), so we all came home for naps. After naps and dinner we headed out to play arcade games. One of Canon's favorite things to do is play arcade games with his daddy. And now that Canon is big enough he loves to ride the "bumpers cars", so Jess and Canon rode the "bumpers cars". After cashing in his tickets we headed home.

On Monday we still had one birthday gift left for him from Jess and me.
It's a....
New Car!!!

Jess had been looking for a power wheels type car for a while on craigslist and found one about three weeks before his birthday. We had been hiding it out at Jess's office. Canon loves it!

We love celebrating Canon and we all had a great weekend making him feel special.
