A few months ago I started thinking about what kind of party I wanted to have for Canon. I went on etsy and looked at the different themes they had and I fell in love with the vintage airplane theme, especially one design. I thought the color scheme was perfect since I had a lot of white and red serving dishes, red couches, and airplane decor already. Jess and I both have grandfathers that were in the Air Force, so I knew I wanted to incorporate them into it as well.
The party was perfect and I had such a great time putting it together! We had a lot of family that were able to come this year, due to living a lot closer than we did before. Everyone helped out so much and I am very thankful for that!
I think Canon had a great time and I hope he felt special!
The sign on the door coming into the house. The airplane sign, cake topper, and cupcake toppers came
The food table
My sister in law made the balloon banner
The dessert table. All of the cupcakes were homemade by my mom (with the help of Canon and my sister). They were delicious!! Thanks mom!
My father in law and brother in law were sent to pick up the cake I had ordered for Canon's cake. They walked in the door and told me I needed to order another one because it was dropped. I just laughed and thought they were joking. When I opened it up it was not in good shape at all. It had been dropped upside down. ha! I called the bakery and explained what happened and they made me another one. This all happened 45 minutes before the party was to start. I think everyone was waiting for a reaction out of me, but luckily I was very calm and thought it was funny!
The party favors.
Drink table. We also had tables and chairs set up outside on the deck for people to sit.
Jess stopping to take a picture with me while making popcorn.
