Our first born is two!
The morning of his birthday Jess and I went into his room singing Happy Birthday! After getting ready we headed to Shipley's Donut Shop to get him his first ever birthday donut! We don't think he had ever tasted a real donut before. He loved it. We let him sit in his own big chair (usually we have him sit in a highchair) and he sat there very nicely while eating his donuts. We had a wonderful breakfast together!
My mom had come in the day before to help out with all the birthday celebrations and it was so wonderful to have her here. My mom made his birthday cupcakes for his party and Canon helped out as well.
The night of his birthday we had a pizza dinner along with Mickey Mouse decor.
My sister and her family arrived right after dinner just in time to see Canon blow out his candles. He knew just what to do with those candles. :)
After eating a few bits of cupcake it was time to open his gifts from mommy and daddy!
His big present - A Tricycle! He was so excited. I think if he could have communicated what he wanted for his birthday I think he would have told us that a tricycle was the very top of his list. Anytime we see a bike, he gets very excited and wants to "ride".
He immediately got on and wanted to give it a try.
Helping Daddy tighten up the handle bars with his new tool set.
We had a wonderful day celebrating Canon on his big day!
I love this little boy so much!
I love his smile, his laugh, how cuddly he is, how polite he is (saying please and thank you unprompted), his love for music, how he always wants to be read to, his sweet kisses, his squeezes (hugs), how he asks for yummys (sweets), his persistent personality, when he puts his hands together to pray and then says "Amen" very enthusiastically, seeing him become compassionate toward others, his willingness to help others, his love for ban bens (bandaids), when he put his hands on our cheeks when he really wants our attention, his love for his daddy, and the list goes on and on!
