September 20th we took Canon to see Thomas the Train in Nashville. We were really excited to take him. It was a beautiful day and we had wonderful family time.
When we walked in the gate they gave you a map. If you got all four stations stamped you got a prize. We got there about 45 minutes before we boarded the train, so we set out to get our map stamped and do some of the activities.
First we rode the mini train around. Canon was scared at first, but once it started moving he had a blast.
Then he played on the train tables. After the train tables Canon got a temporary tattoo of Thomas. I think he thought he was getting a shot and freaked out and kept saying, "Owie". We finally got him to stand still for minute. Once it was on, he was all about it. He kept pointing to it and saying, "Omas" (Thomas).
After the tattoo Canon played miniature golf with Jess.
Then, it was time to aboard the train!
The train ride was 25 minutes and it was fun!
After unloading we went to the front of the train and saw Thomas.
Before leaving we saw the animals at the petting zoo, watched a man play the guitar (which Canon was obsessed with, he even let Canon play his electric guitar), went to the souvenir shop, rode the mini train again with daddy, and cashed in our map for our free prize.
What a great day! Canon goes around saying, "Omas" (pronounced Ah-mas) and seems to be into trains a little more.
We might be there next year...
