Most of you know we moved to TN to be a part of a church plant. We absolutely love being a part of such a wonderful group of people. One of the women in our church put on a women's retreat for all of the women of Grace Church a few weekends ago. She did a wonderful job! We headed to Pigeon Forge where we stayed in a huge cabin.
I will be honest and say I am not one of those ladies that loves those types of things, but this exceeded my expectations and I had such a great time. I loved getting to know the women at a deeper level and even getting to know some of the women for the first time. I drove 3 other women and we arrived Friday evening. We got our room assignments and hung out until everyone arrived. I loved my roommates and loved staying up late talking with them.
Saturday we had breakfast, a devotion, a get to know you game, then some headed out to white water raft while the others went shopping. I was one that went shopping. We ate at the Apple Barn and then headed to the outlets. After shopping we headed back to the cabin to have dinner, devotion, and games. There was lots of laughs, but also lots of encouragement, learning about God, and how we can apply God's word to our daily lives as women.
Sunday we had breakfast, a devotion, and then headed home.
I can not express enough how wonderful the weekend was! I can't wait for the next one!

I'm glad you had fun at the retreat! I'm taking the minister's wives class this semester, and I didn't realize just how much I needed a little time away from my normal schedule to spend with other ladies. I love the new look of your blog! It's looks great!
Rachel! you should have gone rafting! shame on you :)
