July 4th Festivities

We had a great July 4th! On July 3rd we went to a festival in our town where we met up with some church friends. It was an impromptu get together, but none the less it was fun. Canon was able to go see a fire truck, sit in it, and received a fireman hat. We walked around and ate some good food. Then we headed to the grassy area to hang out with friends and listen to some music. Canon literally ran around for 2 hours dancing to the music. We ended up leaving an hour before the fireworks so we wouldn't get stuck in traffic and so Canon could get to bed at a some what descent time. Once Canon was bathed and ready for bed we walked outside and watched the fireworks from our house. Canon loved them!

On July 4th we met Jess's parents in Franklin for a day of fun! We ate at a pizza place then went to their house for a little while before heading out for another festival. Jess shot off some fireworks while I freaked out about safety and Canon had a blast. Typical. We headed off to the festival where there was a parade, good food, music, and a petting zoo. After the festival we ate at Bonefish Grill which was delicious and shortly after we headed home. On the way home we watched about 30 different firework shows that were going off. It was a beautiful drive home!
