On July 7th Canon and I went berry pickin' again with Laura and Davis. This time we went to a different farm and picked blackberries. We were going to pick blueberries as well, but since it was blazing hot outside we decided just to buy the blueberries already picked.
I had never picked blackberries before and it was much easier than I thought it was going to be. Just like the strawberries Canon ate the blackberries out of the basket and from the ground the entire time. He is a fruit loving boy!
For some reason I feel very mom like or very home makerish picking fruit. It's rather fun!
We came home with so much fruit I didn't quite know what to do. I ended up making a few cobblers for us and for our life groups, freezing some, and we also ate a bunch of it too. I look forward to keeping this as a summer tradition.

Canon is getting so big!! And your cobbler looks delicious! Sure wish we could join you one summer to pick blackberries and strawberries! :)
Wish you could join us as well! MIss you guys! Love keeping up with you all through your blog. Most of the time you make me laugh out loud and your kids are the cutest! I can't wait to see what Caleb looks like. I do know he will be cute for sure!!!
I am also enjoying your sweet mother. She has been such a blessing to me!
