Phoenix
I am just now getting around to posting about our wonderful trip to Phoenix. I am a little behind on blogging as I haven't had the energy to sit down and write out my thoughts. We have had a lot going on and I have had quite a few down days lately. Blah.
The Lord continues to give us much grace and I am reminded of his promises daily. Maybe another post will follow on the tough days....
So Phoenix. All of us Rainers were able to meet out there for the Southern Baptist Convention. To be completely honest the only reason why I was going was because I didn't want to be the only one left out. But I will have to tell you I had a great time!! The trip was much more than I had anticipated. I enjoyed going to a place I had never been before, spending time with Jess's entire family, seeing friends, and just getting away from every day life!
We ate at a lot of wonderful restaurants (my fav was 1130), saw my aunt and uncle, let the kids play in the fountains (half naked I might add), heard some great speakers including my father in law, ran into a lot of friends, had "girl" time with my mother in law and sister in laws, loved on my niece and nephew, snuggled with Canon every night as he slept with us, went to an awesome children's museum, Jess had his first book signing, my cell phone was stolen, and all the boys plus my mother in law went to a baseball game.
Canon was such a trooper and did awesome through the entire trip even during the long plane rides. I would love to go to AZ again and do some of the tourists things.
Here are Nathaniel and Canon hanging out in the grass.
Great great week!!
Rachel
