I am a wanna be crafty person. There are so many things I want to do, but I get overwhelmed that I just don't do crafty things. I got a sewing machine for my birthday last year and still haven't used it. I also want a cricut machine, but I have NO idea how to use one, so I feel like I shouldn't get one.
Occasionally I will get a crafty idea in my head or see something I want to make. This week I decided to tackle a few crafts. One of my very crafty friends made a TN wreath and I wanted one (not a TN one, but an Alabama one), so I asked her how she made it. I went off of hers and made my own version. I couldn't fine red burlap, so I decided to just use brown. I originally spray painted the "A" and the paint went on terrible. I tried to fix it with painting it with a brush and I couldn't fix it. I went to Hobby Lobby to get a new one and they were all out, so I decided to just paint it red. The paint still didn't go on very well, but if you don't get too close it doesn't look bad. I am pretty pleased with it.
I had a free evening this week and decided to make something for Harper's room. I had all the supplies in my craft boxes plus some left over fabric from Harper's curtains. Again, it didn't turn out perfect (I wish I would have painted the canvas a lighter pink), but it looks cute in her room and I love the verse.
Instead of nesting like I should be, I am crafting instead. It's been fun and I wish I would do it more often.
