Today was such a beautiful day. My mother in law came today to help out since Jess needed to work all day without too many interruptions. I still can not lift Canon which makes it hard to put him in his highchair for meals or put him down for a nap. I also can not drive yet, so my mother in law took Canon and me to the duck park. (just fyi, I did not have a normal c-section, it was a little bit more complicated hence why I still have restrictions. That is another story for another day.). It's a park next to the lake, but there are tons of ducks and geese. Canon's favorite word is duck for some reason and as soon as we pulled up he started saying, "duck duck duck".

Anyway, it was so good to get out and have a fun day with our Can Man. I have had a rough week this week as far as grieving goes, so it was wonderful to get some fresh air and enjoy my little boy! It was such a beautiful day (Nashville hasn't had too many nice days lately). We took a walk around the lake and then went and played on the huge playground.

Here are a few pictures. The pictures didn't turn out very well, but thought I would post anyway.

My MIL is coming back tomorrow, so we can get out of the house again and hopefully do a little shopping for clothes and for the house. Our third and final preview service for Grace Church is this Sunday! Mid April is when the church will officially launch! I am so excited to go to church this Sunday! I missed our 2nd preview service due to being in the hospital.

Today I also splurged a little and did a little internet shopping. I spent some of my birthday and Christmas money today! :)
I have wanted a pair of these for years now, so today I went ahead and did it.
My first pair of Toms!!

My sister kind of got me into vera bradley by buying me a vera bradley diaper bag for Canon. This year for Christmas Jess bought me a large vera bradley duffel bag. I love it so much that I want a companion to go with it to put all my toiletries in when we go out of town. ha!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day today!

I wish we could have seen the ducks with you, but I'm glad you had such a great day with your sweet boy and sweet mother-in-law! The pictures are so cute. He is changing so much! Also, I'm glad you got to get a couple of things for you - great choices. :)
