WOW - It's been a LONG time!

My husband and my mom keep asking me to update my blog. It's been so long since I've posted anything. I guess it was just overwhelming me to keep up and then life got hard for a while in the fall/winter with a job/life change, so I gave it up for a while.

So, what has been going on since October?

- We found out we were pregnant in November. We had been trying for six months, so this was great news! We are having another girl! I am actually giving birth two weeks from today! This has been my hardest pregnancy to date, but I have been enjoying a lot of the aspects of this pregnancy as well.

- In December we decided to plant a church in our town we live in. This was a huge leap of faith for us. We have been a part of two other church plants, but with this one we have started from scratch and Jess is the lead pastor. It has gone well so far and we are both loving it. We will launch in the fall.

- Canon and Harper have loved going to Mother's Day Out. Canon graduated from preschool a few weeks ago. We loved both of their teachers and couldn't have asked for a better year for them.

- We went to the beach in April. My mom was able to go with us, so that was really nice. We had a great week of relaxation (as much as you can with children), the water, and eating.

- We celebrated Jess's 30th Birthday. We went out with some of our best friends and then Jess and I had breakfast on his actual birthday and dinner with his parents.

- Canon played soccer in the spring. Harper is currently taking a Christian dance class.

- Since the kids have been out of preschool, we've been trying to get everything in before this baby girl comes. One of the things that was important to get in was swimming lessons. In the past, we've done private lessons, so that is what we decided to do this time around too. Canon has been doing amazing! He is a natural swimmer. The instructor is encouraging us to get him on a swim team. He swam the entire length of the pool without help. He can tread water, float on his back if in distress, and swim with proper technique, etc. We are so proud of him for working hard during lessons. Harper has done well too. This is her first time taking lessons. She is great at putting her face in and floating on her back. We are thankful for the opportunity to do lessons.

Hopefully I will get to some more posts soon before the baby gets here. I would love to do a post on this pregnancy and the kids!
