June Overview

This summer has flown by all ready. I feel like I can not keep up with anything lately, let alone the blog. I love looking back though, so I am going to post when I can. 

Here is an overview of all our happenings in June.

- Canon got glasses. He's so handsome!

- We had friends from our time at seminary come visit for a few days. Our kids played so well together and it was such an encouraging time of fellowship with them.

- Jess and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. We went to the CMA Fest, ate dinner downtown, and then did a little shopping after getting rained out from the CMA Fest.

- C had his last t-ball game.

- We celebrated Father's Day. My parents came in town for a short visit. On Saturday night I prepared dinner (I did ask Jess to grill) for Jess and my dad. On Sunday after church we met some of Jess's family for a Sounds Baseball Game. 

- Canon took swim lessons. 

He did AMAZING! He now can swim pretty far by himself and I am so proud of him. It is amazing what a difference a year makes. Last summer during his swimming lessons, he screamed about 90% of the time. This time he never cried and he seemed to have no fear. His instructor was amazing with him. She was sensitive and sweet, but not afraid to push him. 

- We celebrated our niece's birthday.

- The kids participated in Backyard Kid's Club provided by our church and a youth group from Louisville.

- We've also played a lot with friends, grilled out a ton, attended a church wide cookout, and have had some pool time.

We've had a very busy fun summer so far. Thankful and blessed to be busy and have so many fun things to do and be a part of.
