Jess's birthday was April 26th and since it was on a Saturday we were able to celebrate on his actual birthday. Canon had a t-ball game in the morning. After the game and lunch with Jess's parents, his parents took the kids and we hit the town. :) Some of our closest friends were able to join in on the fun! This day for me (and I think I can speak for Jess as well), was one of the most fun days we've had in a really long time.
We started out at the Main Street Festival. It was fun to look at all of the crafts/booths and drink a huge lemonade shake up. :)
Then we headed downtown. We had reservations at the Brazilian Steakhouse. Jess had been wanting to go to this particular restaurant for a while. It was a really fun experience. Great food, all you can eat, and really great company!
The birthday boy.
After dinner we decided to be tourist for a couple of hours. Three out of the four of us bought cowboy boots. I think we spent well over an hour just laughing and trying on boots. So fun. After boot shopping we took a carriage ride. Our driver was on his phone the entire time and my sunglasses fell out on the street. Jess jumped off and tracked them down. Hilarious and a great time.
After the carriage ride we went into a few shops and then headed home. Jess and I were so exhausted and I could not keep my eyes open on the ride home. I felt so old.
So thankful for Jess's life and the man he is.
