I have not blogged in a while. It seems as though I can not keep up with everything lately, let alone keep up with the blog. So here are a few things that have been going on.
- Jess started his new job on October 1st. He is loving it and it is a perfect fit for him. It has been hard on both of us (especially him) as he is having to commute an hour to work. We have been looking at houses non stop. Every off day Jess has we have been looking at homes. Finding a house has not been the easiest process and it seems as though weird things keep happening. Long story short we have put an offer on two different houses and neither one has worked out. Today Jess and I were supposed to go pick out a lot and start the building process in a neighborhood that we really like. Well Canon started vomiting last night and continued through the night, so now Jess is picking out a lot and starting the process while I stay at home with the kids. At least we will be moving forward on something.
- At the beginning of November the kids and I headed to IL for my niece's 6th birthday. We had a great time celebrating Emma and the kids did great on the trip.
Always wants to do what Pops does.
Playing the Wii.
Doing "farm" stuff with Pops.
- I have been working on Christmas shopping. I was working hard to get it all done there for a while because I thought we would be moving before Christmas for a while. My mom came into town this week to Christmas shop with. Jess kept the kids one afternoon/evening while my mom and I went shopping. We had a great time!
- Harper is growing like a weed. She is super sweet and fun. She is walking really well and saying a few words (mama, daddy, look, more, thank you, shoes). She signs please, more, and all done. She is now back to taking two naps a day (most days). She understands things very well and follows commands very well. She seems to be into everything, the toilet and trash can are her favorites. She eats like the best of them and there doesn't seem to be anything she won't eat.
- Canon has been doing really well. I feel badly he is sick right now. Luckily we haven't been sick a lot this fall (yet). Canon is adapting well to our new church. He makes friends very easily and continues to be our social child. He is doing very well in Mother's Day Out. He is learning so much and is getting really good at writing his name. He loves playing with any tractors, trucks, airplanes, etc. He is still a pretty good eater, but fights us on eating dinner frequently.
- We have been doing a Thankful Tree this month. It has been great. Canon is really into it and we even write on leaves for Harper too.
This is as of today (November 22nd).
Here are some random pictures of the kids.
The kids were really into pretending like we had puppies. It was cute and it lasted for about three days.
"Look mom, I have a Clober (Clover) decoration."
We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and having some good news about a house!
