We had a great day celebrating Canon's birthday on his actual birthday (Oct. 14). We started off the day with singing Happy Birthday as soon as he woke up and then gave him his big present.
Coming down the stairs after waking up.
Just what he wanted. A big boy bike!
Then we headed out for birthday donuts for breakfast.
It was such a beautiful day!
After donuts Jess headed to work and Harper and I took Canon to Strike and Spare. This is one of his favorite places to go. If you buy a wrist band you can bowl, do bumper cars, play laser tag, etc. I also gave him a few dollars to play a few arcade games. He loves to cash in his tickets for laffy taffy. :)
After Strike and Spare and a nice nap for the kids, we headed out for dinner. Mexican was Canon's choice. He loves to eat rice and beans and of course chips and cheese.
Canon really wanted to feed Harper her yogurt. What a great helper he is!
After Mexican food, we headed home to ride his bike outside. After riding his bike we came in for cake. Canon requested that mommy make his cake. My cakes are not fancy by all means, but they taste pretty good. It's the home made frosting that keeps my boys wanting me to make their cakes.
I let Canon pick out which theme he wanted to do for his actual birthday. I was surprised he picked Ninja Turtles, but that is what he wanted. I don't think even knows who they are.
Playing his new game.
He was excited he won the game!
What a great day celebrating our four year old. He loves his birthday (and asked us to sing to him several times). I think he had a pretty good day! I know I did!
