We had a great drive to Florida. This year we drove it all in one day. We left about an hour after Jess got home from church. The kids did pretty well traveling. We seemed to make a lot of stops, but they were very quick ones. We got in really late, but woke up the next morning ready to hit the beach.
Jess's parents, our sister in law, her mom, and our two nieces were already there, so we met up with them on the beach. Canon was so excited to play with Maggie on the beach. Every year Canon has gotten more and more comfortable with the ocean and the sand and he just had a ball this year. He didn't mind one bit if the sand was on him head to toe and didn't seem to be bothered by anything really when he was on the beach.
This of course was Harper's first time ever to see the ocean and dip her feet in. She LOVED it. She would kick her legs when the waves would hit her feet. She didn't seem to mind being in the sand at all. Much different than Canon's first year. Canon was the same age as Harper when he had his first experience with the beach. He did not want ANY sand to be touching him.
Here is Harper sitting in the sand and putting her feet in the ocean for the first time.
Maggie and cousin Bren.
They are three weeks apart. Isn't this the cutest photo ever?
Unfortunately, we weren't on the beach too long the first day. It pretty much rained all afternoon long. We decided to get the little ones naps, get showered, and go out to dinner that evening.

We ate at my favorite restaurant, Toucans.
Here are the older two goofing off with their baby sisters.
My sister in law Erin.
That evening we all took a walk on the beach. We had a wonderful first day of vacation!
