County Fairs - Yes that is plural!

The first county fair we went to was the Williamson County Fair. We kind of went on a whim, but we were so glad we did. Jess's parents met us there for the fun as well. There are lots of good pictures missing because for some reason my camera erased all of the fair pictures. So bummed. Despite my camera bumming me out, we all had a great time!

We first headed to the sheep show. For those of you that don't know, I was a "sheep shower" in my younger days. :) I showed at county fairs, state fairs, and national fairs. It was my "thing". This makes people gasp when I tell people I showed sheep that have only known me since college, but what can I say, I loved it and I have great memories doing it! :)

Canon clapping for the winner of the class. He quite enjoyed it. Maybe he will show sheep some day. That would be awesome!

We then headed over to the donkey show. I have never seen a donkey show (which is surprising since I have seen about every farm animal shown).  This nice woman let Canon pet this 4 week old mule. He was so cute. She even let Canon hold the rope and walk him around.

We then had to ride the ponies. Canon was really into it. :)

We went through this really cool exhibit that taught kids where your food comes from. At the end you could sell your food to the farmer's market and get a fake dollar. You then could cash in your fake dollar and get real food. Canon chose an ice cream sandwich. Smart boy.

After a bathroom break, a corn dog, and a lemonade, Canon rode rides. He of course loved them!

It was a fun day with family. Harper had a good time getting a taste of a snow cone her grandma gave her. She also enjoyed watching Canon ride the rides.

Now onto county fair #2.
Last year we went with our family friends to the Wilson County Fair and wanted to make it a tradition. So we met up at the same gas station we met up at last year and headed to the fair.

We rode the ponies.

Fed the goats carrots.

Played in the corn and pet all the animals in the petting zoo.

Rode lots of rides.
This was the headless clown ride. Creepy.

Got the two younger ones naps in the stroller.

 Sat on tractors.

And ate corn dogs, a walking taco, lemonade, and cotton candy. We also watched a horse and goat show. We watched monkeys ride on dogs and just had a great time with good friends. We really had a great time and all four kids were wonderful. We have promised we will do it again next year - same time, same place.

Here are a few pictures from last year.

I was very pregnant with Harper last year and their youngest was just about 6 weeks old.

Needless to say, I LOVE FAIRS!
