We typically head to the beach every year for vacation (which is wonderful), but this year we wanted to do something a little different. Because we still wanted to do a beach vacation as well, we decided to head to Pigeon Forge for two nights and three days. Canon is at the perfect age to enjoy a lot of the things Pigeon Forge has to offer.
We loaded up early (for us) on Wednesday and headed out. Once we got there we checked into our hotel, changed clothes, and went to the Dixie Stampede. I was particularly looking forward to this. I wasn't sure if Canon would be freaked out or not, so I was holding my breath. When we first arrived, there was a pre-show concert going on in the saloon and Canon was crying and whining about being scared, so my expectations of him not being scared during the "real" show was low. Once we got into the arena something changed and he LOVED it. He was a little timid at first, but it didn't take long before he was in to it. Harper was the one that wasn't too sure. She kept looking at me like I was crazy for bringing her. She was so good though. I couldn't have asked for the evening to go any better.

After the show they let you come and pet the horses. Canon wanted to touch all of the horses, but we pet two instead. :)
They do not let you take pictures during the show, so this is all I took.
We had a wonderful evening and we hope we will be able to go back some day!

I love the Dixie Stampede and went several times as a child! Glad you guys enjoyed it!
