Lover of Children's Books

We have been reading Canon books ever since he was four months old. We got into the routine of reading to him before every nap and before bedtime every night. He is now three years old and we have the same routine. I am also very intentional with Harper to read before her naps and bedtime as well. Because we read so much we have lots of book and we continue to add to our library often. Canon absolutely loves "book" time and we love it too. Canon is super busy and does not sit still for anything, except for when we are reading.

I thought I would document some of our favorites as of now.

We have quite a few of P.D. Eastman books and Sandra Boynton books. We also enjoy Dr. Seuss books. The books we get in Chick fil a kid's meals are read frequently as well.

"A Gaggle of Geese and a Clutter of Cats" has been a favorite for a very long time. "Henry Helps with the Baby" has been a great one lately and "Flip, Flap, Fly" is a fun read.

We have four of Anna Dewdey books and we love them. I personally love the flow of these books. They are silly, but are good topics to talk to your child about.

These are fun as well.

And of course we have lots of children's Bibles we read very frequently. Canon likes to flip through the pages and tell the stories in his own words. It is cute and comical at the same time. Jess jokes that we need to work on his theology. :)

What children's books are your favorite?

I am a lover of children's books too. We go to the library once a week and between me and James are bag is always overflowing. I love your list - we really love Go Dog Go and Llama Llama mad at Mama. Some other books that frequently get checked out are Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site, Trashy Town, Freight Train by Donald Crews, Fish out of Water by P.D. Eastman, The Tickly Octopus, The Pout Pout Fish, all the Curious George books... As you can probably tell we really like transportation and sea animals in our house. Oh, James just ran to me holding The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad shark. :) so many favorites! Love this post!
