Gone Fishin'

We all took a break from cleaning the house and preparing for Harper to have a little fun this morning. 

The staff wives had a little shower for me at a cute little restaurant mid morning today, so I headed there. We had a great time hanging out and talking. They also showered Harper with some pretty cool gifts. Everything was needed and so cute! I appreciate them very much!

Jess and Canon headed out for Canon's first fishing adventure. Last night we were at the store and Jess let Canon pick out a fishing pole. Jess had Canon practice casting the line out this morning and he actually caught on very fast and was so excited to go. Jess said he did very well and was able to cast it out in the water. They hadn't caught any fish and they had one worm left. They threw the last cast out and caught a fish! Canon was so excited, but then freaked out when the fish started flopping around when C was holding the line. :) Jess said Canon was concerned if the fish was hurt from the hook. 

I am so glad they had a great time! I love how Jess desires to spend one on one time with Canon and does it very often. Jess loves to try new things with him. I love that he is making intentional memories with him. What a great daddy Jess is! I know he won't be any different with Harper.
