On August 11th we finally transitioned Canon to a toddler bed. Yes, I know that seems a little late since he will be three in October, but he had never tried to crawl out and it was working for us. We decided since Harper was coming soon we should transition him before there are lots of changes in Canon's world. I have never really considered myself a sappy person until I had a child and then I have gotten even worse since we lost Will, so while Jess was switching his bed I was a little emotional. ha! I was also a little worried if Canon would stay in his bed, but he has done excellent. He has been taking great naps and sleeping well at night. It has taken a little longer to get him to go to sleep, but we are working on that. I think the biggest transition for Canon through all of this is that we took the rocking chair out of his room. We weren't rocking him to sleep, but we would rock him for a while before putting him in his bed, but it was becoming a crutch for him. We now have his rocking chair in our room, so we still read books, pray, and sing in the rocking chair before bed.
Here is the last picture of Canon in his crib.
And now in his toddler bed
I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He is getting so big!
