Canon started another year of Mother's Day Out (we call it school) this week. We had orientation last week to meet his teachers. This year his class is going to be a little more structured and he even gets to play outside on the playground and go to music class every other week. There is two different two year old classes and there are a few kids in his class from last year. Canon has been waking up earlier (for him anyway) than usual, but on his first day of school we had to wake him up. We tried to make a big deal out of him going and make the morning fun and happy! I of course was making sure he had the perfect lunch and had everything he needed and it was all labeled.
Here are a few pictures before we left.
He was not in the mood to take pictures. He wanted to go outside and play.
Our big boy!
And he's done. Ready to go outside and leave.
Jess went with me to drop him off. There were no tears, just lots of hugs and kisses. I of course was teary eyed all the way out to the car.
Jess also came with me to pick him up. Canon was super excited to see us, but was also in a really good mood. The teachers said he had an excellent day. He didn't take a nap, but was very quiet and still while the other children napped. They also said he told them about 50 times mommy was going to pick him up after nap time.
We are hoping for a great year! Thankful for this church that provides such a great program!

Rachel! I have been behind on my reading... Just catching up tonight and enjoying seeing how much Canon has grown just this summer! He is so handsome. I am also so thankful for a healthy pregnancy with baby girl, Harper. Love her name! We sure think about you and Jess often. So glad all is well :)
Thank you Erin! Canon has gotten so tall this summer. We think about you and Mitch often as well.
