Pregnancy Update - Week 28

I am now 28 weeks pregnant. We lost Will at 28 weeks, so that has been on my mind a lot this week. We are thankful for a healthy baby girl and continuing to pray for her health and safety as we get closer and closer to her delivery date.

Here is a quick update on the plan for baby girl. We had a specialist appointment about 4 weeks ago and the specialist is wanting to be a little more cautious than my regular OB. So with that said, we are delivering at 36 weeks by c-section, no traveling past 30 weeks, and will be given steroids at 34 weeks to help baby's growth. He also wants regular ultrasounds at least every 4 weeks to track her growth. We did have a very detailed ultrasound at the specialist office and she is perfectly healthy and right on track with growth. We have also had another ultrasound since and she again is right on track with growth (2lbs 7 oz. as of July 16th). We thank God for her everyday!
We will be having a scheduled c-section on September 17th as long as nothing changes with me or the baby's health.

I am feeling pretty good. Now that I am in the 3rd trimester I am starting to feel really tired again. I am eating like crazy and still can't get enough of fruit, raw veggies, and dessert. :) As of July 16th I have gained 16 pounds. I am still dealing with low blood pressure and my blood sugar dropping, but again it is still manageable. As of the last ultrasound she was head down and boy can I tell. I feel a lot of pressure and my belly feels very heavy especially the days I am doing a lot of housework. She is still crazy active, which I love! People keep asking me if her nursery is done and the answer is absolutely no. ha! We are not even close. I did finally pick out fabric for her curtains and will go to get those made next week. I do have her bedding, but no crib. The crib won't be here until after she arrives. We have gone through Canon's things to see what we could use and I have washed a lot of those things, but that is about as far as we have gotten. This is totally against my personality since she will be here in less than 8 weeks, but oh well. It's good for me (at least that is what I am telling myself).

A few prayer requests:
1- The dr.'s are still very concerned about my health regarding a uterine rupture. I can not go into labor on my own. Please be in prayer that I can make it to Sept. 17th without any labor contractions. The words they use is catastrophic for me and baby if I were to have a uterine rupture. A uterine rupture could happen if I went into labor. This is why they are delivering her so early.

2- Because she is going to be born 4 weeks early please pray she is fully developed and she has absolutely no complications or side effects from being born early. The doctors have already prepared us she will be in a special nursery for observation and possibly up to a couple of days.

3- Pray for peace of mind for Jess and me as we get closer and closer to her arrival.

4- This is not as serious of a prayer request, but due to not being able to travel past 30 weeks I will not be able to be in my best friend's wedding at the beginning of September. We have been friends since birth and this is devastating for us both. Pray that we will both have peace about this through our disappointment.

Thank you for being in prayer for Jess, Canon, the baby, and me.

Tesha, That does encourage me! Thank you for telling me that. Feeling more at peace about it as it gets closer. Glad you had a great time in Tennessee with your family.
