90 Years
This past weekend (May 19-21) we went back to my hometown to visit my family, but most importantly to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday! She is such a wonderful woman of God and I love her dearly! We left Thursday after lunch and was able to make it for dinner with my parents, my sister's family, and my aunt and cousin I hadn't seen in years. We stayed with my sister (she lives right next door) since my parents had a lot of family staying with them.
Friday we went to the assisted living place where my grandparent's live to have lunch, cake, and ice cream to celebrate on her actual birthday. That afternoon and evening a lot of family came in. It was so nice to see family I hadn't seen since my wedding or for 5 plus more years.
Saturday we had a huge family dinner (25 adults and 7 kids). My mom is a great host! That afternoon there was a come and go party for my grandmother with cake and ice cream.
The weather was beautiful the entire weekend, so we spent a lot of time outside. I LOVE my parent's place. It's where I grew up and I have such great memories. It's out in the country and it is just beautiful. Ahh I would love to build a house on their property like my sister did. Anyway, Canon loved being outside and playing with the kitties, bunnies, and riding the 4 wheelers. Bliss...
