It's a Smile, it's a Kiss, it's Sweet Summertime!

Our friend Nathan asks us a couple times of a year in the summer to go the pool with him and he asked us to go on Saturday and of course we jumped on the opportunity! Jess and I were so excited to get Canon in a real pool for the first time, so last night I made a late night run to Target for swimming diapers, a baby raft, and a bathing suit for myself (don't feel quite comfortable in my pre-baby suits yet). Canon had lots of encouragement and cheering going on for him in the pool and lots of hands and eyes watching him for safety! Canon did not like the pool at first, I think we initiated him too quickly. But after warming up to it and holding on to his daddy for a while he liked it. We put him in his raft and he was OFF! He was paddling his legs like he had heard the start gun go off for a race. He splashed and splashed and didn't care water was hitting his face. Everyone took turns carrying him around. I think he officially likes the water.

I love how our friends love our son! It's really sweet to watch their interactions with him. Our friends really have become our family and support system.

We had such a great time! We look forward to going again in the near future!
